The history of this club dates back to 1892, when they were originally founded as a cricket team named after St. Domingo’s church where they played their first game: a goalless draw against Everton. After the first season, the club joined the Football League Second Division and changed its name to Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool’s home kit is red and white, which earned them the nickname ‘The Reds’.
