Autodromo Nazionale Monza information

La Pista Magica’. This is what the circuit is called by the locals. The Autodromo Nazionale Monza was built in 1922 in only 110 days. The track is 5.793 km long and the drivers race 52 laps on it. What is typical about this circuit is that there is a lot of speed involved. Two DRS zones are established on the track, where drivers can use extra throttle to overtake. The fastest lap ever was driven at Monza where Juan Pablo Montoya drove 260,6 km/h during practice for the 2004 Grand Prix! Will you be standing along this fast track?

A race weekend at Monza involves much more than just F1 drivers driving around the track. To get a better idea of what goes on at and around the legendary track in Italy, we sent our Content Creative out to capture some images and, of course, to share his experiences at the Monza circuit.

According to him, there was a festival atmosphere all weekend. Outside the race, there is an awful lot to do. As you would expect in Italy, there are many food and drink stalls with all kinds of different food. There is a fan zone where you can buy merchandise from your favourite team and you can drive around the track in the simulator. Or how about making your own pit stop. More than F1

Besides the usual Formula 1 programme, there will also be Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup that weekend. Should you want to claim the very best spots to follow it all, the circuit most likely opens as early as 8:00 in the morning. The real action starts on Friday at 09:40 with Formula 3 free practice. On Saturday, the spectacle begins at 9:40 with the Porsche Supercup Sprint Race, and on Sunday, all the action starts as early as 08:15 with the Formula 3 Feature Race. Enough action to keep you entertained all weekend!
