The Austria Grand Prix, based in Spielberg, has been part of the Formula 1 World Championship since 1970. The race is held at the Red Bull Ring, formerly known as the Österreichring and A1-Ring! A circuit where Max Verstappen and Alain Prost are record holders. The Red Bull Ring is 4.326 km long and the drivers race 71 laps on the circuit. On the circuit you have three DRS zones, three zones where extra throttle can be given to overtake. A special GP because the feeling you get in Spielberg is unique!

What is the circuit like?

The Spielberg circuit was known as a high-speed circuit. Due to a number of accidents, the circuit was considered too dangerous and was excluded from the Formula 1 championship calendar for ten years. The Red Bull Ring has been equipped with better safety measures and is now back on the f1 2023 calendar! The beautiful Red Bull Ring circuit is located in the mountains of Styria. You can expect a special environment with lots to do besides the race. For example, visit the museum in Graz, which is dedicated to the city’s favourite son: Arnold Schwarzenegger.

- How do I get to the Red Bull Ring in Austria?
  
  The Red Bull Ring is located in a rural area, so it’s not as easy to get to the track as some other races. The best way is to fly into Vienna airport and hire a car. The circuit can be reached via motorway from Vienna in just over 2 hours.
  
  Going with public transport? The closest train station to the Red Bull Ring is at Knittelfeld, which is connected to most major cities in Austria. There are shuttle buses from the train station to the circuit on the race weekend. The trip from Vienna to Knittelfeld takes around 3 hours. Good to know: the earlier you book the train tickets, the cheaper it will be!
- When will I receive my Grand Prix Austria tickets?
  
  All Austrian GP tickets will be sent as e-tickets. You will receive these in your mailbox approximately one week before the event. Print out your e-ticket or download them and scan from your mobile at the entrance of the circuit!
