This popular club plays a major role in Dutch football. Feyenoord has won the Eredivisie sixteen times, the KNVB Cup thirteen times, the European Cup I and the World Cup once! The club is called a people’s club because it represented different layers of society in the early years. The club colours red and white have been a constant element in the logo since 1930. The loyal supporters of Feyenoord are called ”The Legion” and are known as very fanatical supporters. During the matches, you can see the ‘die-hard’ supporters by their banners and flares!

Ajax
Feyenoord has one big archrival and that is the team from Amsterdam, Ajax. In 2008 the clubs even ranked 5th on the 50 Greatest Derbies list. Feyenoord vs. Ajax is called ‘The Klassieker’ and is known for its very tense matches. There were two occasions when the cup final was a classic. Both times Ajax won. An intense atmosphere in the stadium is guaranteed!

Sparta
Rotterdam rivalry! Rotterdam’s fellow townsman Sparta is also seen as a rival. Sparta used to be seen as a posh club, while Feyenoord was seen as a people’s club. During the derby’s between the clubs, they fight for the title ”the club of Rotterdam”.

De Kuip or Stadion Feyenoord is designed by Leendert van der Vlugt and was built in 1935. The stadium is the biggest in The Netherlands after ”De Arena” (Ajax stadium). All home matches are played here, and occasionally matches of the Dutch national team as well. During important matches, the whole stadium turns red with flares and you can expect cool atmosphere actions.

- What kind of clothes can I wear to the stadium?
  
  The dress code applies to persons aged 16 and over. It is not allowed to wear slippers, shirts (for men), tracksuits, shorts and caps in the Business Lounge.
- How can I get to the stadium?
  
  Public transport
  
  NS Station Rotterdam is located next to De Kuip. During matches and certain events, stop trains from Rotterdam Central and Dordrecht stop here.
  
  When this station is not in use, you can get off at Rotterdam Zuid or Rotterdam Lombardijen station. These stations are within 15 minutes walking distance from De Kuip. From station Rotterdam Lombardijen you can also travel to the stadium by tram.
  
  Car
  
  During matches, it is very busy around the stadium. Take this into account if you come by car and reserve enough time to reach the parking location.
  
  Are you travelling via the A15 motorway? Take exit 19a and follow the signs Zuidplein/Ahoy/Havens 1200-2000.
  
  Are you travelling via the A16? Take exit 24 Rotterdam – Feijenoord.
